The Minister of Immigration meets Egyptian expatriates in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Tajikistan

Ambassador Suha Gendy, Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, held an interactive meeting with representatives of Egyptian communities in countries: Egyptian communities in “Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan”, in the presence of Ambassador Amr Abbas, Assistant Minister of Immigration for Communities, and Ambassador Nazih Al-Najari, Egyptian Ambassador to Russia and others. Residing in Belarus, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, and First Secretary Mohamed Abdel-Moati, responsible for the consular section at the Egyptian Embassy in Ukraine, as part of the ” An Hour with the Minister ” initiative.

Also participating in the meeting was Dr. Mohamed El-Sergany, the Egyptian cultural attaché in Russia, representatives of the community and the Ministry of Immigration Center for Dialogue for Young Students Studying Abroad, in the presence of Ms. Nermin Kamal, Assistant Deputy Governor – Control and Supervision Sector, representing the Central Bank, and Major General / Ehab El-Haini, representative of the Status Authority. Civilian Affairs, and Colonel / Muhammad Sharshar, Director of Legal Affairs Department at the General Department of Passports, Immigration and Nationality at the Ministry of Interior, in addition to the participation of Ashraf Attia, representative of the General Authority for Social Insurance, and Dr. Elham Fathi, Director of Our Children Abroad, representing the Ministry of Education, and Dr. Muhammad Hamza, Head of the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector, representative of the Ministry of Higher Education, in order to respond to the inquiries of Egyptians abroad.Ambassador Suha Gendy 

Minister of Immigration , started the meeting by welcoming all the attendees from the Egyptian communities, the ambassadors and representatives of the ministries participating in the meeting, expressing her happiness at meeting with the Egyptians abroad, as she is always keen to communicate with them to get to know them and their needs and desires and work to meet them according to the Ministry’s work strategy. Immigration, which attaches great importance to the file of communication with Egyptians abroad, and we are working to find new mechanisms of communication, including the “An Hour with the Minister” initiative to learn about the conditions and challenges facing the two communities, and to listen to their ideas and theses, stressing that this is what proves the Egyptian state’s keenness to communicate. With its children in all countries of the world, overcoming any obstacles facing them, and also to benefit from them as a soft power for the country abroad, and also to benefit from our brilliant scientists and experts in all countries, and to involve them in the development process on the land of Egypt.The minister appreciated the great role played by the heads of communities in both Russia and Ukraine in light of the current crisis, especially the file of Egyptian students studying in Ukraine and the follow-up with their universities to receive their papers after issuing powers of attorney from students and overcoming all the difficulties and challenges facing them.During the meeting, Ambassador Suha Gendy reviewed the continuous work that has been done to serve Egyptians abroad, since she assumed the portfolio of the Ministry of Immigration, and conducted tours and visits abroad through the two foreign tours that she made in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and held several direct meetings with the symbols of the two communities to stand On their conditions and listening to their proposals and visions, as well as reviewing the incentives offered by the Egyptian state to Egyptians abroad in various countries of the world, as well as officials in both countries concerned with the Egyptian community in them.The Minister of Immigration was also keen to acquaint the participants in the meeting with the many incentives and advantages that have been achieved for Egyptians abroad at various levels. With the Ministry of Education, in addition to coordinating with the Ministry of “Higher Education” to provide an exceptional opportunity for a year to reconcile conditions for professors who have exceeded the permissible limit of secondment or vacation years, stressing that the role of complaints management has been activated, to work 24 hours a day in response to the main problems of Egyptians. Abroad, and her presence personally and the work team in the ministry on the pages of Egyptians abroad in all countries of the world to interact directly with them.Ambassador Soha Gendi said that in order to preserve the Egyptian identity of our children abroad, the Ministry of Immigration has worked to implement many youth camps, visits, forums and various events for the children of the second and third generations to feel for themselves what is happening on the ground in terms of progress, in addition to the ministry launching the presidential initiative “I speak Arabi” which mainly aims to preserve the Egyptian identity, noting that work is currently underway to release a number of videos within the framework of the initiative to educate and educate our children abroad and preserve their Egyptian identity.The minister continued talking about the unprecedented discounts on airline tickets for Egyptians abroad over a period of 216 days, as well as working to establish an investment company for Egyptians abroad.
